Marlyn Budnick is a life-long member of the Northern Bergen County community. She is both an accomplished crafts designer and award-winning graphic designer. Marilyn received a BA in Graphic Design and International Marketing from Parsons School of Design in New York City. After more than 20 years creating Lifestyle & Decorating Editorials for CBS Publications' magazines such as Woman's Day, Family Life and Elle Decor, Marilyn started her own graphic design firm, MVision. MVision collaborated with leading global public relations and communications firms to create materials promoting a wide range of healthcare, wellness and lifestyle products. This work earned her numerous awards in the 1980s and 1990s. From 1998 to 2000, she designed and produced the annual reports for Barnes & Noble. During this period, she completed one of her most rewarding projects creating materials for "Close the Book on Hate", a partnership between Barnes & Noble and the Anti-Defamation League. Most recently, Marilyn was an art advisor and manager of the Mark Gallery in Englewood, NJ, where she procured artists for the gallery and advised clients in selecting art for commercial and residential interior design projects. The artist's relationship with photography began in Osaka, Japan, when she was gifted a Canon EOS. She began to learn about composition, color and how to communicate visually. Through a 30-year, publishing career in Japan, Hong Kong and New York, the artist has brought a multidisciplinary, 360-degree perspective to her interaction with the visual world. The artist's relationship with photography began in Osaka, Japan, when she was gifted a Canon EOS. She began to learn about composition, color and how to communicate visually. At the same time, she started her career in publishing, and her image making became paired with an apprenticeship in the interplay of book design, content and visuals.
